This site outlines a series of simple habits and practices designed to deepend your faith that you are welcome to try. Through my professional career, I've developed an interest in time management and the cultivation of positive habits. I have combined this interest with my faith background to develop Habits for Disciples. It is intended to help incorporate the practice of faith into a busy, 21st century life.
My suggestion is that you explore the habits that are suggested, adopt the ones that work for you and discard the ones that don't. I have strived to ensure that each suggestion is faithful to, and consistent with, the teachings of the Catholic Church. The most important thing to remember is that the habits are a means, and not the end. The end goal is to share in God's own blessed life (CCC, 1) and to realise our purpose of knowing and loving God (CCC, 1). The habits are a means and should only be adopted to the extent that they help us get there.
This site contains lots of habits that you can try. Some may not work for you - that's fine, you can ignore them. Some may be helpful, but only for a season in your life. That's fine too. Practice the habit while it works, and consider alternatives at other times in your life. I guess what I'm trying to say is, please don't get caught up with feeling you need to follow all, or even any, of these habits religiously. Adopt them, modify them, or discard them as the spirit moves you.
My hope is that this website may inspire at least one soul to explore and embrace the Good News personally. I pray that you do come to know and love God and that through Him, you receive abundant blessings and tranquillity of heart.
"CCC" = Catechism of the Catholic Church, revised in accordance with the official Latin text. Promulgated by Pope John Paul II.
